To view and shut down running applications, follow these steps:
- From the Home screen, press and hold the ALT key and Escape key.
- Verify that all open applications display.
- Continue holding down the ALT key.
- Release the Escape key.
- Scroll to the application that you want to close.
- When the application is highlighted, release the ALT key.
- Note: The application opens.
- Press the Menu key.
- Select Close.
Note: There are five applications that cannot be closed: BlackBerry Messenger, Home screen, Browser, Messages, and Phone
